About
Dedicated to helping individuals uncover the wisdom and answers within themselves, meditation facilitator, intuitive channel, former psychotherapist, and PhD Kristina Kyser offers a distinctive series of private sessions and day retreats in Toronto, Ontario as well as virtually online.
Drawing from her extensive experience and uniquely comprehensive approach, Kristina helps individuals move from a place of burnout and stress to one of peace, clarity, and connection — both within themselves, as well the community around them. Her offerings provide powerful tools for personal transformation, inviting people to explore the innate knowing they hold within themselves.
“I was an academic, initially, and did a PhD in English Literature and taught for a few years before training as a psychotherapist — which I practiced for 13 years,” Kristina details. “I learned a great deal about physiology and trauma and nervous system regulation in my capacity as a therapist and, increasingly, I moved towards somatic therapy.”
By way of her substantial background as a trauma-focused psychotherapist and academic, Kristina brings a trove of nuanced experience and insight to her current practice, rooted in her deeply held understanding that true transformation begins from within.
Addressing the needs of those who may be dealing with symptoms of chronic pain, fatigue, stress, or burnout, Kristina Kyser’s work will undoubtedly resonate among those navigating such hurdles. Kristina not only understands the overstimulation and chronic stress many face, but she offers a suite of tools and resources to help shift from a state of fear and overwhelm to one of rest and optimism.
For those new to meditation, or feeling unsure about their ability to meditate, Kristina provides a gentle, reassuring, and accessible approach. She’s quick to confirm her meditations do not require any prior experience or ability, and enjoys introducing the practice to those new to the concept.
One of the many unique aspects of Kristina’s practice is her focus on somatic experiences. Taking cues from her expertise around nervous system regulation, Kristina emphasizes the importance of the body in the healing process. Her meditations are not just about quieting the mind, but also about creating a new experience in the moment, allowing for profound physiological and psychological shifts. By integrating elements of mindfulness, hypnosis, and neuro-linguistic programming, Kristina’s guided meditations, based in the Guided Meditation Framework (GMF) help clients connect deeply with their core.
Kristina’s retreats offer a chance for participants to immerse themselves in a supportive community — a valuable and integral part of many restorative experiences.
Kristina’s offerings include specialized day retreats and private channeling sessions; she also presents an ongoing series of complimentary meditation circles, offering multiple pathways for individuals to engage with her work.
