That’s the number of respondents from our recent survey among local women ages 30 – 70 who feel symptoms of chronic pain, fatigue, stress, or burnout are negatively impacting, influencing, or overwhelming their day-to-day lives.
Here’s the thing…. We’ve long known the number was high. We also live, feel, and experience so much of it all too well first-hand — not to mention knowing countless others navigating similar situations.
But to tangibly see the number from our own Ontario-based survey be so high never gets any less deflating.
And then to know there are stories and lives — all individuals trying to tread molasses to get through the day — behind each number, none of whom are “just” a statistic.
That’s a lot of people… That’s a lot of us… Struggling to juggle life while feeling absolutely exhausted, sore, and overwhelmed.
We table this because, after years of trying to manage our own health hurdles and, in the process, growing determined to build something that could help others sharing similar struggles, we pushed our new website live this week.
We know launches are *usually* full of at least one exclamation mark, and maybe even some confetti, so to speak… And that’s not to say we’re not beyond excited, honoured, and OVER. THE. MOON. to share with you the most incredible well-being experts and resources we’re finding in the local area — because we are!!! 🤗
But our launch is a bit backwards because like most (actually, if not all) chronic pain, fatigue, stress, and burnout specialists we are connecting with, we all very genuinely and truly share the hope that, at some point, none of us are needed in this context anymore. That those of us who seek these types of services for improved well-being will have found what soothes, supports, and relieves.
Until then — because, whew… at 82%, we’re still a long way off 😅 — we’d like to share Methods of Care: a local directory and blog to discover services, resources, supports, and insights for easing your pain, fatigue, stress, and burnout
Welcome… 💕
