About
There are a lot of resources out there for learning the mechanics of labour and delivery — the stages, the positions, the breathing techniques. But far fewer spaces address the part that keeps most people up at night: the emotional and mental side of it. That's where The Last Push comes in.
This workshop, led by Registered Psychotherapist Rebecca and Mental Health Counsellor and Parenting Consultant Danika Desforges-Bell at C'est La Vie Wellness, is designed specifically for pregnant people in their third trimester who want to feel mentally and emotionally prepared — not just physically informed. Over three hours, you'll work through four themes that go well beyond what a standard birthing class covers: advocacy in the birthing space, facing fears and pain, the art of nesting, resting, and requesting help, and creating your own Protect Your Peace Plan.
This is a small, intimate group — limited to just eight people — which means there's real space for conversation, connection, and the kind of honesty that only happens when a room feels safe. You'll leave with practical tools, a community of people navigating the same transition, and a clearer sense of what you actually need heading into one of this next chapter.
Best suited for those at 24 weeks or beyond. Early bird pricing of $60 (regularly $80) is available until September 30th and includes a workbook and pen. Please note this workshop is not a substitute for birthing classes, which cover medical education.

C'est La Vie Wellness is a bilingual holistic health clinic in the heart of Bronte Village in Oakville, co-founded by Danika and Naturopathic Doctor Dr. Sofie Desforges-Bell. With a team spanning naturopathic medicine, acupuncture, psychotherapy, counselling, reiki, breathwork, aromatherapy, massage therapy, and reflexology, the clinic is built around a simple idea: care for the whole person, not just the symptom. Their team cross-consults where appropriate, and the result is a practice that feels less like a series of appointments and more like being genuinely looked after.
