Free Wellness Event in Waterdown featuring Khalili Second Nature
Sometimes the best thing you can do for your stress levels is step outside, slow down, and breathe — and this free Tuesday evening session at Memorial Park gives you a reason to do exactly that.
As part of Waterdown Village's Try Days series, Khalili Second Nature is hosting a free outdoor session at Memorial Park focused on two things most of us could use more of: practical tools for managing stress, and a better understanding of what's going on in our bodies.
Led by Naturopathic Doctors Dr. Afsoun Khalili and Dr. Natalya Kosubovich, the evening begins with guided breathwork for stress relief — the kind of simple, accessible techniques that can genuinely shift how your nervous system responds to the daily overwhelm. Breathwork is one of the fastest ways to move your body out of fight-or-flight mode and into a calmer, more regulated state, and the best part is that once you learn it, you can use it anywhere: in your car before school pickup, at your desk, in the middle of the night when your brain won't quiet down. It's practical, portable, and evidence-informed.
You'll also have the opportunity to experience a Traditional Chinese Medicine assessment.
TCM assessments look at your health through a different lens than you might be used to — practitioners consider the interconnections between your physical, emotional, and environmental health to build a fuller picture of what your body might be asking for. It's a chance to learn something new about yourself in a low-pressure, community setting.
Hosted by the Waterdown Village BIA, Try Days are a wonderful community initiative offering free fitness and wellness sessions in the park every Tuesday evening through the summer, and Khalili Second Nature's session is a standout for anyone who's been meaning to explore what naturopathic and integrative care actually looks like in practice. No commitment, no cost — just show up, breathe, and see how it feels.
