About
When we think about nourishment, it's rarely just about the food itself... It's also about how we move through our days, how we care for our bodies, and the skills we carry into our kitchens
This full-day retreat brings together two essential elements of wellbeing: mindful movement and practical food literacy with Toronto Island Oasis' Sierra Day, a Holistic Nutritionist with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Nutrition and Food, plus a Certificate in Culinary Arts, and certified yoga instructor
From 10am to 4pm on Toronto Island, participants explore the connection between yoga practice and food skills in a way that feels accessible rather than prescriptive. The day offers an opportunity to strengthen your relationship with both movement and cooking — learning techniques you can actually use, practicing yoga that supports your body, and discovering how these practices naturally complement each other
Whether you're looking to build confidence in the kitchen, deepen your yoga practice, or simply spend a day exploring two foundational aspects of self-care, this retreat creates space for all of it
