About
Winter can weigh on the body and mind... Shorter days, colder temperatures, and reduced sunlight can leave many people feeling drained, unmotivated, or emotionally overwhelmed...
In this workshop, Yoga Instructor and Trauma Recovery, C-PTSD Recovery and Emotional Healing, EFT Tapping, and Yoga for Childhood Trauma Coach Stephenie Farrell will lead the class through a 90-minute workshop, offering a gentle, supportive space to reconnect with yourself while learning practical tools you can bring into your daily routine to help manage winter heaviness
Participants will explore:
• EFT Tapping to help shift looping thoughts and emotional stress
• Breathwork techniques that support both grounding and uplifting energy
• Specific yoga postures known to help with low mood, fatigue, and emotional heaviness
• A slow, nurturing flow that warms the body, increases circulation, and inspires a sense of inner lightness
• Deeply restful Yoga Nidra to bring ease to the nervous system and restore emotional balance
By the end of the class, participants will have their own easy-to-use winter toolbox of practices to return to any time you need a reset
// About the Facilitator
Stephenie Farrell is an Integrative Trauma Recovery Support Specialist based in Hamilton, Ontario, whose work bridges professional expertise with deeply personal understanding. Having navigated her own journey through trauma, Stephenie brings authentic empathy to her practice, recognizing the profound ways trauma can live in both body and mind.
Her approach integrates multiple evidence-based modalities including Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) Tapping, Matrix Reimprinting, trauma-sensitive yoga, and yoga nidra meditation. This holistic toolkit addresses the physical, mental, and emotional dimensions of healing, meeting each person where they are without pressure to share or process in ways that don't feel safe.
What distinguishes Stephenie's work is her commitment to creating spaces where healing can unfold at each person's own pace. Her trauma-sensitive yoga classes, for example, maintain intentionally small group sizes and emphasize reconnecting with the body through movement rather than verbal processing. This approach honours that trauma often requires gentleness, boundaries, and practices that rebuild trust between mind and body.
Working with clients both in-person and online, Stephenie supports individuals navigating chronic pain, anxiety, and the complex aftermath of trauma. Her practice emphasizes accessibility, sustainable healing, and empowering each person to discover their own capacity for resilience and growth. She understands that recovery isn't linear — it's a journey that deserves compassionate, individualized support every step of the way.
