As a classroom teacher and wellness coach, MYndful Movement founder Deb Taylor is focused on mental and physical health from the inside out. A seasoned sound healer, yoga instructor, and trauma-sensitive mindfulness practitioner with years of experience across music, meditation, yoga, nutrition coaching, and education, Deb offers a holistic approach to wellness that promotes healing on both a physical and emotional level. Her specific training in trauma-sensitive mindfulness allows her to create a safe, compassionate space for individuals who have experienced trauma, ensuring that retreats she hosts, corporate wellness presentations, sound baths, and yoga sessions are accessible and supportive for all participants.
In her monthly sound baths, Deb combines her musical expertise with her deep understanding of mindfulness and trauma awareness. Using instruments like crystal singing bowls, gongs, and chimes, she creates a soothing auditory environment that encourages deep relaxation and mental clarity. Her background in yoga instruction enhances this experience, guiding participants to release tension through mindful movement and breathwork.
Deb’s sessions are thoughtfully crafted to help participants achieve a deeper connection between mind and body, while also fostering emotional release and spiritual alignment. Her trauma-sensitive approach ensures that all individuals, regardless of their background or experiences, feel nurtured and empowered to explore their personal healing journey.
In addition to sound bath sessions, MYndful Movement also offers personal training, yoga, and meditation practices, hosts local and International retreats, as well as corporate and classroom training and events.
"As a teacher, author, mindfulness facilitator, yoga instructor, sound healing facilitator, trainer, and a learning fiend, I'm committed to helping people feel better, in body and in mind," Deb shares. "My special interest in trauma-informed mindfulness comes from my own life experiences with understanding of its importance in education.
"I have a unique connection with my students of all ages that stems from my own personal journey toward wellness. I’ve been a classroom teacher for over 20 years at the primary, intermediate, and senior levels and, for several years, I was simultaneously a wellness coach trained in the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program.
